Our Journey
Water Everywhere
Water is the most valuable resource on the planet. It sustains and nourishes all life on earth. In fact, all organisms require some quantity of water to live. It is a widely accepted among scientists that water facilitated the formation of the planet’s first life forms, possibly even protecting them from the sun’s radiation.
71% of the Earth is covered in water. Three percent of this is fresh, however 2.5 % is unavailable, locked in polar ice caps, glaciers, the atmosphere, soil or is highly polluted or to deep beneath the earth to extract.
That leaves approximately, 0.5% available and usable to the 7.8 billion humans inhabiting the planet, and the estimated 1 – 2 million species of animals in the world.
