Whole-house filtration treats water at the point where it enters the property. The results depend on the cartridges and media selected. Start with your concern—sediment, taste, odour or a specific water-quality issue—and match the equipment to it.
Taste and odour
Suitable carbon filtration can reduce chlorine taste and odour. Ask about the cartridge’s specifications and its replacement schedule.
Hard-water concerns
If scale is the main problem, discuss softening as well as filtration. A system labelled “three stage” does not, on its own, establish hardness reduction.

Is three-stage filtration always better?
Not necessarily. Stage count describes the arrangement, not the outcome. Compare the purpose of each stage, documented performance, flow requirements and ongoing replacement costs.
Will a filter remove everything?
No single general claim applies to every filter. Ask for the specific substances a product is designed and tested to reduce, along with operating conditions and maintenance requirements.
How often should filters be replaced?
The interval depends on the selected cartridges, water quality, use and manufacturer’s guidance. We supply replacement filters and can help identify the right ones for your system.
